Internal Sales Executive

Purpose of Position

The role of the Internal Sales Executive is to drive sales, supporting our area sales managers to meet their budgets. They will be responsible for defining customer needs and building opportunities throughout our customer network.  The internal Sales Executive will raise brand awareness and support the marketing department generating leads across our Agri and Equine product range through marketing projects/initiative.  This role is based in Oswestry


Key duties and Responsibilities

  • Take a pivotal, results driven role in the team to drive the achievement of the UK sales budget
  • Meet/exceed telephone sales budget responsibility
  • Strong team player providing active, hands-on support for the external sales team
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing and new trade partners
  • Can-do, positive attitude, dealing with orders and enquiries for existing and new customers
  • Report sales progress via weekly/monthly sales meetings and weekly conference calls
  • Document activities on CRM software, telephone calls, sales calls, opportunities, leads, case studies, faulty goods, order tracking, market and customer information assigning links to ASM and NSM when required
  • Assist in the compilation of sales reports for the team
  • Marketing Project support where required.
  • Carry out market research relating to market trends and changes to product sectors
  • Effectively communicate market findings and customer insights assigning through CRM to teammates and management
  • Represent JFC at trade exhibitions/events which included staying away from home
  • Cover breaks/holidays in reception as required


Desired Skills and Experience

  • A proven history of working to and achieving sales budgets/targets
  • A third level qualification in business, commerce, finance or another relevant field is advantageous
  • Formal sales training experience is also advantageous
  • Excellent telephone manner, professionalism and customer focused
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Positive analytical problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed IT and administration skills
  • Time management and task prioritisation skills
  • A strong working knowledge of the agriculture/equestrian industry is highly advantageous
  • Highly collaborative, organised, detail oriented with a strong ability to multi-task
