Apprentice Fitter/Toolmaker
Purpose of Position
JFC group is seeking an Apprentice Fitter/Toolmaker to join our Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to launch their career in the manufacturing industry. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to receive comprehensive training and mentorship, learn valuable skills, and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role is based at JFC’s Headquarters in Tuam, Co Galway.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and tools to fabricate parts and moulds.
- Assist in the assembly and maintenance of equipment.
- Work on projects to design and build precision tools and fixtures.
- Utilise knowledge gained of materials, measurements, and technical drawings in assignments.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Leaving Certificate.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
