Store Manager

As Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient operation of our company’s supply chain by overseeing the goods in processes and managing inventory stock accuracy. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate receipt of materials, maintaining accurate stock levels. This role is based at our headquarters in Tuam.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Goods In process, ensuring all incoming materials are received, inspected, and processed accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely processing of all stock transactions within the ERP system.
  • Produce accurate inventory and Goods In reports, ensuring all documentation is maintained to company standards.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and support effective replenishment and inventory control.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Production, Quality, and suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, and stock-related issues.
  • Identify, support, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, storage optimisation, and ERP systems.
  • Manage the stores team while overseeing training, resource planning, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the department.
  • Carry out any other duties required to support the efficient operation of the Stores and Supply Chain department.
  • Ensure all operations, process and procedures are operated in accordance with our Quality Management and Health & Safety Management systems at all times.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience an advantage
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory, or materials management role within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or distribution environment desirable
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control processes, including stock audits, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation.
  • Proven people management experience, including leading, coaching, developing, and performance managing teams to achieve operational objectives.
  • Experience using ERP systems for inventory management and transaction processing.
  • Ability to manage Goods In, storage, and stock movement processes effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process compliance.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams, including training, coaching, and resource planning.
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices in a warehouse or stores environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
