Evolution Manufacturing Supervisor
Purpose of Position
The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for JFC’s Evolution production floor. You will be self-motivated with a drive for process improvements. As Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the performance of the Evolution production lines, supervise employees to achieve key business objectives and ensure a high level of product quality. This role is based at JFC’s Headquarters in Tuam, Co Galway.
Key duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise the performance of the Evolution production floor.
- Hold daily PIT meetings to ensure performance targets are monitored and any issues addressed.
- Responsible for setting and achieving daily/weekly targets for each production line aligning these with the company’s quarterly forecast.
- Motivate and support the production team to hit targets.
- Responsible for production workflow and KPI’s, driving process improvements.
- Use ERP/MRP systems to ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work instructions are always up to date.
- Work closely with R&D, purchasing, quality, and other departments to integrate new products into production and streamline workflows.
- Work with departments to assess process capabilities, prioritise process improvement opportunities and implementing them using Lean Principles and 5s methodologies.
- Report on and highlight quality issues.
- Meet with the Operation’s team to report on KPI’s and production floor performance.
- Purchasing of consumables for the production floor.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes & improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning. workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organisation.
- Ensure strict adherence to all Health and Safety policies & procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 yrs. experience leading a production team is essential.
- Ability to organise and manage daily activities in a fast-paced production floor.
- Experience of hitting daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good technical and mechanical knowledge.
- Problem solver that is solutions driven.
- Attention to detail is key for this role.
- Confident and commercially aware.
