General Operator

Summary of Position

As a General Operator you will work as part of our Production team.  This role will involve being cross trained to work in all areas of production, manufacturing, assembly and pipe and across all shifts as required.    They will report to the assigned Supervisor and Production Manager.  This role is based in Tuam, Co Galway

 

Key duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of Production of our products range across all divisions (Agri/Equine, Civils, Material Handling etc.)
  • Follow daily production plan as outlined by your supervisor
  • Ensure set up, powder and trimming in your area is ready prior to start of shift
  • Ensure products are confirming to ISO/BAA or any other certificate requirements from a quality perspective
  • Daily checking on material or equipment specifications and performance requirements
  • Ensure all SOP’s are followed at all times
  • Participate in a cross-functional teamwork environment
  • Assembling products for Despatch
  • Working with hand tools, Machines and Chemicals when trained, following all safety requirements
  • Ensure accurate completion of associated paperwork/records
  • Assembly and cleaning of products for shows
  • Working on own initiative regarding process/methods
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Health and Safety General Rules & Procedures
  • Responsible for a high level of housekeeping in your area is adhered to at all times
  • Internal maintenance duties when required

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent is a minimum requirement
  • Technical certificate or relevant equivalent is desirable
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems is preferable
  • High level of professionalism and good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a pro-active and efficient manner
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational, prioritisation and planning ability
  • Strong adherence to health & safety, quality & 5S standards
  • Excellent customer focus

 

Working Conditions

Normal office conditions, travel/visits to other JFC sites may be required. Attendance at exhibits and/or events may also be required.
