JFC Group founder and CEO John F. Concannon has released The Bucket Man | Think Local, Act Global, written with Robert Tighe. The book tells the story of how an idea born on John’s farm in Kilconly, Co. Galway, grew into an international business.

The story begins with the Multi-Bucket, which John made to feed three calves at once. From there, the book follows the people, decisions, and setbacks that shaped JFC’s growth and the products developed along the way.

The book was officially launched at the Clayton Hotel in Galway on September 10th. Family, friends, and colleagues gathered to celebrate with John. The evening brought together discussions, interviews, and plenty of laughs, with live music and dance performances throughout. Many of John’s grandchildren took part in the entertainment, making it a particularly special occasion for the family. All proceeds from the launch night went to Daisy Lodge in Cong, Co. Mayo.

The following week, The Bucket Man was available at the National Ploughing Championships, one of the biggest  events on our calendar every year. Visitors to the JFC stand were eager to pick up a copy, and John joined them to sign books and take part in further interviews.

The Bucket Man | Think Local, Act Global is now available through bookshops across the country and online retailers.
